   Virtual Sports Visitor Program Connects Coaches and Administrators from Ten Countries

   Last month, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs’ (ECA) Sports Diplomacy Division hosted a virtual Sports Visitor Program (SVP) with participation from approximately 60 soccer coaches and sports administrators from ten countries.

9. South Sudan and Sports Diplomacy: Basketball Coaches from the World’s Newest Nation

   

   Sports Diplomacy brought five coaches to the U.S. from South Sudan for a dynamic people-to-people exchange focused on creating opportunities for young South Sudanese to play basketball.

10. Sports Envoys Go to Greece

    

    Partnering with the NBA and WNBA and working closely with U.S. Embassy Athens, the U.S. State Department sent basketball envoys to Athens and Thessaloníki in Greece.
