   From March 31 to April 7, former U.S. Women’s National Team Soccer Players Linda Hamilton and Kate Sobrero-Markgraf headed up a female-focused sports envoy program in Chile.

   The National Ability Center, in collaboration with the Departamento de Educación Especial for the State of Quintana Roo, Mexico, and UCP Wheels for Humanity in the United States conducted a multi-phased sports exchange for youth with disabilities.

4. Track & Field Athletes from Kenya and Nigeria Participate in Sports Diplomacy

   

   A group of Kenyan and Nigerian athletes participated in a fast-paced track and field exchange.

5. Sports Visitors: Mongolian Wrestlers

   

   Partnering with USA Wrestling, the U.S. State Department brought members of the Mongolian men’s and women’s national freestyle wrestling teams and their coaches to New York.

   The U.S. Department of State’s ECA has conducted several track and field programs, but none quite as unique as this most recent one with the Pacific Islands.

   A delegation of 12 Kazakhstani boxers and trainers traveled to the United States to visit community boxing programs and the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
