   David, an English Language Fellow at the National Technical University in Sevastopol, Ukraine teaches English to international students, helping them to “be critical, creative, and compassionate global citizens.”

   Natasa from Serbia embraces her exchange experience whole-heartedly, volunteering in her host community and joining many clubs at school including yearbook, photography, and choir.

   Dusan's activities in his host community include playing for his school's soccer team, joining the Key Club, and giving presentations about his home country, Serbia.

   Dunja's activities in her host city of Seattle include volunteering at the local public library, participating in a student-run improvisational dinner program, and learning about American culture while sharing her Serbian heritage with her new friends through engaging presentations.

   Bermet from Kyrgyzstan is a power-house volunteer (with over 200 hours of community service) and an active ambassador for Kyrgyz culture.

   Tiarra from Connecticut's cheerful demeanor, dedication to learning Korean, and volunteering to teach English at a local community center makes her an ideal classmate, tutor, and friend.

9. Celebrating Black History Month in Ethiopia

   The U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa travels around Ethiopia to host a Black History Month Essay Writing Contest.

10. FLEX Student of the Month – November 2017

    Only two months into her exchange year, World Link-placed FLEX Student, Aiganym Khamitkhanova (Kazakhstan/CO), has already received one of her high school’s highest honors, volunteered 60 service hours, and taught her French Class about Kazakh traditions, holidays and language.
