1. CBYX Student of the Month – January 2018

   Joshua Kemper, a FLAG-placed, Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) student from Germany, hosted in Lake View, Alabama, is the January 2018 CBYX Participant of the Month.

2. December 2023 CBYX German Participant of the Month

   We are pleased to announce Aimee Tauscher as the December 2023 CBYX German Participant of the Month!  Aimee, a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) High School program participant placed by CIEE, is hosted by the Laudenslager family in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  

3. Teachers of Critical Languages Program

   The Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP) brings teachers from China, Egypt and Morocco to eligible U.S. elementary and secondary schools to teach Chinese and Arabic for an academic year.

4. Future Leaders Exchange - Program Details

   The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program provides scholarships for high school students (ages 15-17) from Europe and Eurasia to spend an academic year in the United States, living with a family and attending an American high school.

   Former NBA Legends Sam Vincent and Andrea Stinson Travel to Jordan

   

   Partnering with the NBA and WNBA, the U.S. Department of State sent legends Sam Vincent and Andrea Stinson as well as NBA clinician Marty Conlon to Jordan in July.

6. Professional Fellows Program

   The Professional Fellows Program brings emerging leaders in the fields of legislative process and governance; civic engagement; NGO management; economic empowerment and entrepreneurship; and journalism from around the world to the United States for intensive fellowships designed to broaden their professional expertise.

   U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Congratulates Students Who Will Enroll At U.S. Colleges & Universities

   

   At a reception on June 4, the U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Margaret Scobey congratulated 18 Egyptian students (and their parents) from Alexandria who will begin studying in the U.S. at various colleges and universities in the 2011-2012 academic year.

8. A-SMYLE Student of the Month — October 2012

   Valentin, an American Serbia and Montenegro Youth Leadership Exchange student from Serbia, has made a great impression on his host family, school, and community.

9. Pakistan Professional Partnership Program in Journalism

   This program provides participants with an in-depth look at U.S. media practices, while also exposing them to American life and culture.

10. Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program

    As part of the Department of State’s Thomas Jefferson Scholarship Program, this program offers full scholarships to outstanding students from underrepresented sectors and parts of Tunisia.
