   We are pleased to announce Lilly Altenkirch as the October 2023 CBYX German Participant of the Month!  Lilly, a Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) high school participant placed by ASSE, is hosted by the Leisy family in Saint Lawrence, South Dakota.

6. Turkmenistan Participant Connects with Disabilities Organizations

   In his home country of Turkmenistan, Ibragim Nurjanov has been a tireless advocate for the well-being of people with disabilities, both as a sports trainer and as a participant in the Democracy Commission. As such, he was a natural candidate for an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on the topic of “Promoting Disability Rights.”

7. Fulbright U.S. Student Connects With At-Risk Youth in Rio de Janeiro Through Boxing

   In Rio de Janeiro, Nicholas studied Sociology at Pontifica Universidad Catholica Do Rio De Janerio (PUC-Río) during the day and spent his evenings at the gym, volunteering with children, learning and experiencing the different cultures in Brazil from the classrooms to the inner city.

10. A-SMYLE Student of the Month – April 2014

    Mina Vukosavljevic, a CIEE A-SMYLE student from Serbia, is a dynamic role model and A-SMYLE youth ambassador, performing over 100 hours of community service and attending workshops to help teach English in her home country.
